easyJet adds Belfast City to London Southend route

easyJet has announced a new route between Belfast City Airport and London Southend Airport, launching on 25th October 2026. The service will operate three times a week, further strengthening domestic connectivity from Belfast City.

 

Virgin Atlantic launches autism awareness training for cabin crew

Virgin Atlantic has introduced mandatory autism awareness training for all cabin crew in partnership with Autism Double-Checked. The programme is designed to help staff better support autistic passengers by recognising sensory sensitivities, adapting communication styles and providing reassurance throughout the in-flight experience.

 

IHG expands Vignette Collection with first London property

IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of Canary Riverside Plaza, Vignette Collection – the brand’s first hotel in London. Opening in summer 2026, the 142-room property will bring premium accommodation, flexible event space for up to 200 guests, and riverside views to the heart of Canary Wharf.

 

Generation BTA LIVE inspires future talent in Manchester

More than 200 students attended the inaugural Generation BTA LIVE event in Manchester, designed to showcase the wide range of career opportunities available across the business travel sector. Featuring travel management companies, hotels, airlines and industry professionals, the event gave students valuable insight into the diverse roles, career pathways and future opportunities available within the industry.

Revamped event space at The Tower Hotel by Thistle

Clermont Hotel Group has unveiled the newly refurbished Tower Suite at The Tower Hotel London. Located beside Tower Bridge, the venue offers stunning skyline views, a private entrance and capacity for up to 500 guests, making it ideal for conferences, gala dinners, product launches and celebrations. The refurbishment includes enhanced AV technology, digital signage and flexible production capabilities, giving organisers greater scope to create immersive event experiences. The relaunch forms part of a wider investment programme across the hotel, including upgrades to guest rooms, public spaces and food and beverage offerings.

Located near Warrington, the M56 and Manchester Airport, Park Royal offers 146 bedrooms and 15 meeting spaces. Available through Instant Book Meetings are the Willow Suite, which accommodates up to 40 delegates, and the Tatton and Ash boardrooms, ideal for smaller meetings of up to 18 and 20 attendees respectively.
