Greater Thameslink Railway has launched an enhanced Gatwick Express service. This will include earlier morning train services over the summer, allowing travellers to get to and from the airport more easily. Gatwick Express passengers will also have access to premium airport travel benefits.
Prolonged dry periods across the east of England have caused the soil beneath the railway to shrink, prompting Network Rail to impose speed restrictions on some lines. As a result, engineering works are due to take place from early August. This may lead to slower services and timetable changes, so please check ahead of travel to see if you’re affected.
