Network Rail has invested £130 million in projects designed to make Scotland’s rail network more resilient to extreme weather. Improvements include upgraded drainage, strengthened earthworks and work to reduce the risk of flooding and landslides, helping to protect services from future disruption.
Business travellers flying with United from London Heathrow will start to see a new onboard experience on selected Boeing 787-9 services. The updated aircraft will offer more premium seating, greater privacy in business class and improvements to entertainment and connectivity.
The first of 10 new Elizabeth line trains has entered passenger service in London. The additional trains are being introduced to provide extra capacity as demand grows, including supporting journeys to the new HS2 station at Old Oak Common when it opens.
Staying connected in the air is set to get easier for Lufthansa Group passengers. The airline group has begun introducing Starlink Wi-Fi across its fleet, with the technology designed to provide faster and more reliable connectivity for working, browsing and streaming while travelling.
