Talk to an Inntel expert
The Business Travel Association (BTA) announced major leadership changes at its Autumn Conference in Munich this week, including the appointment of Inntel’s CEO, Douglas O’Neill, as its new Chair.
With more than 20 years of leadership experience in the business travel sector and a BTA Board Director since 2019, Douglas brings strong expertise and a deep commitment to advancing the BTA’s mission of championing the needs of TMCs and the wider industry.
On his new role, our CEO, Douglas O’Neill, said:
“I’m delighted to take on the role of Chair. Working alongside my fellow directors and the BTA team, I aim to continue enhancing the value we deliver to members while raising the profile and influence of the BTA across the sector.”
The BTA’s Autumn Conference theme – Let’s Get to Work – showcased the breadth of roles the business travel industry supports, from energy and finance to humanitarian and infrastructure projects. Business travel is about far more than simply suits in business class; it is about enabling people across all sectors to travel for work and drive economic growth.
Douglas is passionate about changing outdated business travel stereotypes and, with the BTA, will work to ensure both government and the public recognise the vital role our industry plays in supporting people travelling to work.
Douglas wasn’t the only one from Inntel at the conference. He was joined at the event in Munich by colleagues Daniel Case, our LOGiC & Online Development Manager and a member of the Generation BTA Advisory Board, and Sian Sayward, our Director of People, Partnerships and Strategic Projects. Daniel co-delivered two workshops on Harnessing AI for the Next Generation of Work Travel alongside Amadeus’ Simone Buckley, while Sian contributed to an interactive session hosted by Sabre.
The BTA is the authority on business travel, representing over 90% of UK expenditure on managed business travel and working closely with government to promote its value to the wider economy.
Douglas’ position on the BTA Board reinforces Inntel’s influence in the business travel sector and ensures that the voices of our customers and colleagues are heard at the highest level. We are incredibly proud of Douglas, whose leadership and dedication continue to drive our industry forward.
