As so much of our business is done around the planet, we’re committed to being responsible citizens and doing all we can to protect it. We’re also invested in being great neighbours at home.
Here’s a quick selection of our CSR activities:
Each year we focus all our charitable efforts on one or two good causes selected by our Employee of the Year. Recently we have been fundraising for The Brain Tumour Charity and East Anglia’s Children’s Hospice. Next year’s charity will be selected in March 2024, when our Employee awards take place.
Young people are the future of every industry. One way we identify our industry’s future stars is through apprenticeships. We offer apprenticeships across all departments at various levels. It’s so successful many of our apprentices stay on afterwards.
As an SME, we know collaborating with likeminded businesses from our local community promotes employment and infrastructure. We use all kinds of local suppliers and services. Senior members of our team also support local business networking forums and skill sharing groups so others can benefit from our knowledge and experience.
We support community in other ways too. We sponsor Coggeshall Cricket Club and Bures United under 7s football team, manage fundraising events for local charities, and provide work placements for local schools and colleges.
