The latest member of the group tasked with creating the events for MIA members is Inntel’s Supplier Partnership Manager, Callie Richards.

She has been handpicked to be the only meetings management agency representative on the taskforce and give the agent’s perspective.

Callie said: “Agencies in our industry are invited to many events hosted by venues who are keen to promote their properties. My role in the Connect Taskforce team is to ensure that the agencies get a good return on investment in the time spent at these events”.

The taskforce is made up of experienced professionals from across the business meetings and events industry. The main purpose is to help deliver events for the MIA that gives members a good return on investment and raises the profile of the association to non-members.

As a member of the Connect Taskforce, Callie will advise on the content and format of the events to ensure they are kept relevant and that attendance is consistently at a high level.

Callie said: “It is a privilege to be asked to join a group of industry experts and help deliver great events for the MIA. It will help increase my knowledge of our industry and give Inntel face to face contact with lots of brilliant independent venues. It will also allow me to bring back great information for the teams at Inntel, as well as help shape the future MIA Connect events to make them even more beneficial for the agency community than they already are.”

Jane Dibble, Director of Business Development at Inntel said: “MIA provides great value to Inntel and across the entire hospitality industry. I’m delighted that they have asked Callie to join this taskforce and am looking forward to seeing the benefits”.
