New deal provides clients with full rail content & functionality
LONDON – 24th February 2015
Leading meetings and travel management company Inntel has announced a new partnership with thetrainline.com (TTL), the UK’s leading online provider of rail tickets.
The deal will integrate UK rail content into Inntel’s online platform, enabling Inntel clients to check times and fares, book and fulfill tickets through a range of options including, on some routes, printing their own tickets.
Rail content will be available through a single sign-on, with users able to set up individual traveller profiles. Rail spend analysis will be included in Inntel’s Management Information suite.
“Rail transactions have been increasing in volume and share of travel spend within many corporates. We are widening our portfolio of specialist services to meet the changing needs of the corporate market” explains Inntel Managing Director Douglas O’Neill.
The Guild of Travel Management Companies’ Quarterly Review for Q3 of 2014 shows that rail transactions grew by 8% over the same period in 2013, compared to 7% for hotels and just 1% for air travel.
“We are delighted to continue working with thetrainline.com” continues Douglas. “Everything we do is geared around exceeding our clients’ expectations. We translate an intimate understanding of their businesses into service and technology solutions that are tailor-made to their booking and payment needs. TTL’s product is best-in-class, so this is a perfect fit.”
Commenting on the continuation of the partnership, Ian Cairns, Head of Distribution at thetrainline.com said “We are delighted that Inntel Travel will continue to work with thetrainline.com for the next 3 years. We share the same ethos, that rail is a key part of any successful managed travel programme. Both businesses want to deliver customers a ‘best in class’ solution; doing so by marrying Inntel’s travel management expertise with thetrainline.com’s market leading technology.”
