• How do you start your morning?
I start by checking emails, unless there’s anything urgent which needs to be carried out immediately that I have received overnight I’ll then move on to creating our clients invoice packs for the payment runs which are done once a week for each client.
• What is your job role at Inntel?
I am one of the Assistant Team Leaders for the Billback team. A Finance Administrator within the Billback team is responsible for calculating and checking all hotel invoices on a daily basis, dealing with hotel/client queries and liaising with other departments regarding any client discrepancies to name a few of the requirements for the role. The role of Finance Administrator requires three important skills, you need to be well organised, have a good eye for detail and have the ability to use your own initiative.
• What is a typical working day for you?
It varies day to day and some tasks have to be prioritised as they come in. However a typical day would involve checking emails, then preparing client invoice packs for the payment runs necessary for that day. There is a specific deadline for the client runs to be completed by each day, so I have to make sure I have done them in plenty of time. Then I utilise the afternoon by processing hotel/venue invoices for the next day, answering emails and checking the query list for outstanding issues and resolving where possible.
• What do you enjoy most about working at Inntel?
I enjoy working at Inntel because I get a lot of satisfaction completing the tasks and processes correctly and on time. I like the team that I work with and the pleasant atmosphere that has been created in the office. Inntel is without doubt the best company I have worked for in terms of giving opportunities to those from within. During both spells I have worked for the company I have seen countless employees get promotions into a variety of roles.
• Most memorable moment so far working at Inntel?
I was very recently appointed into my current role as an Assistant Billback Team Leader. Ever since returning to Inntel towards the end of last year it has been a huge goal of mine to work my way into a more senior role.
