Environment Policy
Inntel Ltd is a specialist provider of venue and travel solutions to the corporate market. As an organisation that provides a service to its clients, our potential impact on the environment stems largely from our office-based operations.
Concern for the environment and promoting a broader sustainability agenda are areas that Inntel takes very seriously. We believe that managing the implications of our activities is an integral part of good management practice and responsible corporate governance. We aim to follow and promote good sustainability practice, to reduce the environmental impacts of all our activities and to help our clients and partners do the same.
Inntel is committed to applying the following principals to its activities:
- Establishing clearly defined objectives and targets that address the environmental and sustainability issues relevant to the company’s operations so as to ensure continual improvement in environmental performance.
- Complying with the entire applicable legal requirements and other requirements to which Inntel subscribes which relate to its environmental aspects.
- Preventing pollution and reducing the consumption of resources wherever practical and appropriate.
- Ensuring that all policies and management systems put into place to manage the environmental and sustainability implications of our activities are communicated to all persons working for or on behalf of the organisation, and available to the public.
- Ensuring environmental and sustainability issues are considered in the design of new processes, services or facilities in order to minimise adverse impacts and improve environmental performance.
- Establishing and maintaining effective management systems to control identified risks.
- To review, annually report, and to continually strive to improve our sustainability performance.
In order to put these principals into practice we will:
- Encourage our staff to plan their meetings, site visits etc to ensure geographical areas are covered efficiently.
- Encourage the use of car sharing and/or public transport to attend meetings, site visits etc, apart from in exceptional circumstances where the alternatives are impractical and/or cost prohibitive.
- Provide a Cycle-to-Work scheme and Car Sharing Scheme to encourage our staff to reduce their own environmental impact.
- Minimise our use of paper and other office consumables, for example by double-siding all paper used, and identifying opportunities to reduce waste.
- As far as possible arrange for the re-use or recycling of office waste, including paper, computer supplies and redundant equipment.
- Reduce the energy consumption of office equipment by purchasing energy efficient equipment and good housekeeping.
- Implement processes such as e-Invoicing to reduce the amount of paper used within our operations.
- Undertake voluntary work with the local community and/or environmental organisations to seek to offset carbon emissions from our activities.
These commitments are documented, implemented and maintained by the main Board of Directors of the company and its Executive Management, and this policy will be reviewed on a regular basis and revised as appropriate.
I as Managing Director of this company am ultimately responsible for the effectiveness of our environment management system. Therefore, it is essential that I ensure that the principles of ISO14001:2004 are followed and maintained by all employees of Inntel and companies to which Inntel may from time to time sub-contract work to on Inntel’s behalf.
