Meetings & Events Team Manager

Inntel is the largest independent 'Meetings and Travel Management' company in the UK. We have been providing bespoke booking management services to business travellers and procurement leaders in the corporate market for the last 30 years.

Based near Colchester in Essex, we are currently recruiting for a high-level manager to head up our expanding Meeting and Events department.

We are looking for an individual to lead, motivate and inspire a large team of office based consultants who all have varied levels of client facing activity. The team delivers excellent customer service and expertise to corporate buyers for meetings, conferences and events by sourcing, inspecting, evaluating, negotiating and securing suitable venues to maximise their clients buying power and minimise their clients spend. 

This role requires a dynamic, commercially driven individual to manage the team and support the growth of this business area within the Inntel portfolio. Excellent communication skills are also essential due to client and supplier facing responsibilities including new business presentations, on site event management and supplier reviews.

A thirst to achieve revenue targets and the ability to manage a department budget are essential for this role, as well as a solid background in effective and productive resource planning, creative thinking, motivating and leading a strong team.

Meetings Management Consultant

Inntel are currently recruiting a Meetings Management Consultant to deliver an innovative, quality, meeting & events venue finding service that exceeds client's expectations for conferences, meetings and events. 

Duties will include to provide a total venue finding service – including site visiting with the client, booking rate negotiations, production of proposals, event organisation and after event support.  The role will also involve building individual client relationships that guarantee client loyalty and repeat business.

Superb customer service and organisation skills are essential in order to co-ordinate simple to complex events. 

Previous hotel/venue finding agency experience would be an advantage.

Trainee Reservations Consultant (to cover maternity leave)

Required to source/book overnight hotel accommodation for corporate clients using our bespoke reservations system.

Duties will include locating the most suitable hotel and confirming the reservations with the client/hotel as per their requirement.

Excellent customer service skills, an excellent telephone manner, accuracy and attention to detail essential.  

Previous hotel/venue finding agency experience would be an advantage.
