PARIS TO LONDON - THE HARD WAY 2005 - 20/Apr/2005
On 10th April 2005, Neil Kapoor, Paul Taylor, Mimi Anderson and Tim Welch, 4 ultra distance runners, set off on a 330 mile run from Paris to London taking in both the Paris Marathon and the London Marathon as the start and finish legs. As if this was not enough they were carrying all the kit required for the week on their backs including tents, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, stove, clothes for all weather types for a week and medical kits. The route had been devised to be as long as possible so rather than head out of Paris towards Dieppe, they headed North to Calais (approximately another 100 miles further away from Paris) and took the shortest possible ferry crossing from Calais to Dover. Once in Dover they ran for a day on the North Downs way and then headed for London. - Read More
